New Fiat Topolino is a 100% electric vehicle designed for city travel, officially classified as a light quadricycle. It’s not a traditional car – think of it more like a moped or scooter, but with added comfort and protection.

Falling under the L6E vehicle category, New Topolino differs from standard cars in several ways. Unlike two-wheelers, it offers a roof, doors, seatbelts, and space for two passengers, keeping you safe and sheltered from the weather. Its head-turning design also makes it highly visible to other road users.

With just three buttons – Drive, Neutral, and Reverse – New Topolino is incredibly easy to operate. Its turning radius is tighter than a taxi’s, making it perfect for navigating narrow city streets.

To drive New Topolino on UK roads, owners are legally required to have at least third-party insurance—just like they would for a moped or motor scooter.

Top Speed: New Topolino reaches a maximum speed of 27.9 mph, which aligns with its classification as a light quadricycle.

Range: It offers a driving range of up to 46 miles, based on the World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC).

To drive New Topolino, most people will need a full UK car driving licence (category ‘B’). A provisional licence isn’t enough. However, because New Topolino is officially classed as a quadricycle, you can also drive it if you hold a UK motorbike licence—either a category ‘AM’ licence for mopeds and scooters, or a category ‘A’ full motorbike licence.

Although New Topolino comes equipped with a European two-pin plug, charging in the UK is done using a Type 2 wall box adaptor. Each New Topolino includes both the standard European plug and a Type 2 adaptor, allowing it to be charged at any UK public charging point that does not use a tethered cable. Please note that a home wall box unit and its installation are not included. Fast charging is not supported— New Topolino charges at a single, fixed speed and is not compatible with tethered wall box chargers.

New Topolino is perfectly suited for city streets and urban environments, where it truly comes into its own. With a top speed of 27.9mph, it’s ideal for navigating slower-paced roads. We recommend reviewing your regular routes to ensure you're comfortable if they include roads with higher speed limits.  As a quadricycle, New Topolino is not legally allowed on motorways.

New Topolino performs well on most hills, but its top speed may decrease on steeper inclines. Please note that New Topolino may roll backwards on any slope when the brake pedal or parking brake is released. We recommend exercising caution while driving.

New Topolino is certified as a light quadricycle in the L6E category which means that the maximum top speed is 27.9mph. If the top speed was altered, it would no longer fall into this category, therefore there are no plans to alter this.

Because New Topolino is so compact, the driver and passenger sit in similar positions relative to the road. That’s why we’ve kept its original left-hand drive layout.

New Topolino is not equipped with a suitable towing eye for two-wheeled towing and must always be transported using a flatbed vehicle. Improper towing may cause damage to the traction battery.

No, New Topolino is not equipped with ISOFIX anchor points. For your child’s safety, we strongly advise against installing a child seat in New Topolino.
