Are You a Designer of the Future?

Getting from A to B needn't be boring. Just ask anyone who drives a Fiat. When we build our cars, we don't just use our expertise to make them practical and economical, we use our skills to make them fun to drive too. And now we're looking for people who think the same way.

YOU'VE FOUND A FUN NEW WAY TO TRAVEL, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Have you discovered a novel new way of using pedal power? Or, in your spare time, have you created a vehicle that travels on water as well as land? If so, don't hide it away in your garage. Instead, enter your prototype into our ‘Smiles Per Hour' Design Competition.

The winner will walk, pedal or float away with a cheque for £50,000. Your design will also be showcased at our prestigious flagship showroom in London.

START YOUR ENGINES...

PHASE 1

Our search begins on 14 July and closes on 22 August. Just complete the form, including images and details of your prototype. The Fiat team will then shortlist five designers for phase 2.

PHASE 2

During the week starting 1 September, the five shortlisted finalists will be given the opportunity to be mentored by our Fiat engineering team. This is in preparation for the big road test, which will showcase each prototype on the streets of London. It's the ultimate Fiat Smiles Per Hour test.

PHASE 3

Pitch night is 25 September. The lucky five shortlisted contestants will have to use their powers of persuasion to convince the Fiat panel and TV presenter Suzi Perry (from The Gadget Show) that their brilliant prototype offers the most smiles per hour.
Don't forget, the winner will be rewarded with a cash prize of £50,000 to further enhance their winning prototype. And, of course, our Fiat design and engineering experts will be available to lend a hand… or spanner.

A MUST-SEE JOURNEY

Following pitch night, all five shortlisted prototypes will be on display for two weeks at our Flagship Store in London. Here, you'll also see all the highs and lows each designer went through to bring you lots of smiles per hour.
