Get out of the city and the Panda 4x4 will take you almost anywhere. Its four-wheel drive system is always on so it can take hills, muddy tracks, and icy B-roads in its stride.

SAFETY

Safer braking:
The Panda 4x4 is packed with safety features. Put it under pressure and the ABS stops the wheels locking up, while the EBD distributes the braking force across the wheels for effective braking in all conditions.

Cushioned impact:
If your adventure throws up some surprises, the 4x4 protects you with all-round safety. Driver and passenger airbags come as standard, but you can add side and window airbags to keep everyone travelling with you safe.

Safe in your seat :
The front seatbelts have pretensioners to take away any slack in the first milliseconds of a crash, and the load limiters mean you won’t be injured by the restraining force of the belts.

STYLE

On top of the world:
The Panda Cross has an extra 10cm of ride height, which means it simply cruises over uneven terrain, and gives you a better view while you’re doing it.

Style and substance:
You never know which angle the next challenge is coming from, so the Panda’s got them all covered. At the front and rear, the specially-designed off-road bumpers have protective shields, and super-wide rubbing strips at the sides help keep your defences up.

Look the part:
It doesn’t just drive like an off-roader, it looks like one too. Roof bars, wide bumpers and <a href="http://www.fiat.co.uk/showroom.aspx?id=3500#showroom/panda_100hp/configurator">15” alloy wheels</a> make it look… well, mean. But call it what you like - it’s tough enough to take it.

TECHNOLOGY

All the grip you need:
The 4x4’s advanced four-wheel drive system kicks in automatically when it senses that the front wheels are losing grip. It quickly shifts drive torque from the front to the back wheels, so you stay in control even on the most challenging off-road or severe weather conditions.

ENTERTAINMENT

Serious about music:
The Panda Cross is so packed with features as standard, it’s a wonder it’s so nippy. Create a virtual jukebox with the MP3-compatible CD player and access hundreds of your favourite tracks. And if you really want to hear the bass, just add in the optional subwoofer with six speakers.

Music at your fingertips:
No need to take your eyes off the road to work your stereo. Add steering wheel mounted audio controls to your Panda Cross and you can play DJ in safety.

ERGONOMICS

Eyes on the road:
If you’re going off-road, you need excellent visibility. As well as the 4x4’s 5cm extra ride height, the front seats have been raised to give you the best possible view.

Swift gear changes:
We’ve positioned the gear stick on the dash, to make all the gear changes that city driving and off-roading demands easier. Cars, or sheep – rush-hour’s a piece of cake.

City driving:
Steering’s never been easier. Hit the ‘City’ button and the Panda 4x4 will take the weight out of navigating those winding streets and parking in tight spots.

BOOT SPACE

Loves big loads:
Luggage, boxes, shopping, bikes - they’re no problem for the 4x4. There’s heaps of room in the boot – 236 litres to be precise. Or if that’s not enough, slide the optional rear seats forwards 8cm and it grows to 256 litres in seconds.

Flat out:
The 4x4’s rear seats fold down, giving an impressive 775 litres of storage space. You can also choose a seat that splits 50:50 and slides forwards and back 8cm, giving an extra 30 litres of storage.

No need to crane your neck to see. We’ve designed the Panda’s front seats so that the driver has the best possible visibility.
