The Panda is no gas guzzler. In fact, the award-winning 1.3 <a href="http://www.fiat.co.uk/Content/?id=3504">MultiJet</a> engine achieves an impressive 65.7mpg, so you could zip up the motorway from Edinburgh to Dover on less than a tank. Or from London to Rome in under two and a half tanks if you fancy an Italian adventure.

Tree-friendly:
Well, you’d expect nothing less from a Panda. Emissions have been reduced to among the lowest in its class and, of course, it’s incredibly fuel-efficient. So we all win.

Diesel efficiency:
You may find yourself tapping the Panda’s fuel gauge needle to check it’s still working. But don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just that <a href="http://www.fiat.co.uk/Content/?id=3504">MultiJet</a> engines are among the most fuel-efficient available. And less time spent refuelling means more time to enjoy driving.

SAFETY

Safer braking:
Pandas are packed with safety features. <a href="http://www.fiat.co.uk/Content/Glossary.aspx?id=3174">ABS</a> stops the wheels locking up while the <a href="http://www.fiat.co.uk/Content/Glossary.aspx?id=3174#E">EBD</a> distributes the braking force across the wheels, for effective braking in all conditions.

Cushioned impact:
The Panda protects you with all-round safety. You get driver and passenger airbags as standard, but you can have up to six with side and window airbags, to keep everyone travelling with you safe.

Safe in your seat :
The front seatbelts have pretensioners to take away any slack in the first milliseconds of a crash. And the load limiters mean you won’t be injured by the restraining force of the belts.

STYLE

Easy access:
Compact on the outside, larger than life on the inside. And it has five doors so the kids, the mother-in-law, the dog, or whoever you’re travelling with, has easy access to the spacious back seats.

Ride in a Tardis:
Don’t let its cheeky, small-but-perfectly-formed curves deceive you. Despite its city-friendly proportions, it’s like a Tardis in there. It may just be 3.54m long, but there’s plenty of room for four adults.

Take your seat:
You don’t want seats you have to lower yourself into. The Panda’s seats are nice and high so getting in and out is easy.

Easy driver:
Opt for our <a href="http://www.fiat.co.uk/Content/?id=2396">Dualogic system</a> and you can change gears without a clutch pedal. Just flick the gear lever forwards or backwards and the car does the hard work for you. Easy.

ENTERTAINMENT

CD as standard:
Pandas are so packed with features as standard that it’s a wonder they’re so nippy. The CD player is just one of them. Put on your favourite album and hit the road to your favourite soundtrack.

Serious about music:
Create a virtual jukebox in your car with access to thousands of tracks. An MP3-compatible CD player is standard on Dynamic and Eleganza models, or optional on the Active. ERGONOMICS

Eyes on the road:
No need to crane your neck to see. We’ve designed the Panda’s front seats so that the driver has the best possible visibility.

Swift gear changes:
We’ve positioned the <a href="http://www.fiat.co.uk/showroom/?id=3312#showroom/panda/accessories">gear stick</a> on the dash, to make all the gear changes that city driving demands easier. Rush-hour is a piece of cake.

City driving:
Steering’s never been easier. Hit the ‘City’ button and the Panda will take the weight out of navigating those winding streets and parking in tight spots.

BOOT SPACE

Loves big loads:
Luggage, boxes, shopping, the family dog – they’re no problem for the Panda. There’s heaps of room in the boot – 206 litres to be precise. Or if that’s not enough, slide the optional rear seats forwards 8cm and it grows to 236 litres in seconds.

Flat out:
If you need flexible seating, all the rear seats in a Panda fold down. Or with the Dynamic and Eleganza models, you can choose a rear seat that splits 50:50 and slides forwards and back 8cm to give you a valuable extra 30 litres of storage.
