I've had my Panda diesel from new in November 2007 and I've been very pleased with it but having only covered 17,000 miles I was surprised when the turbo started to whistle last week. I duly took it down to the dealers (Windsors of Heswall) the next day only to be told that the turbo is damaged and needs replacing. For some reason they have asked me to bring it back to the dealership again this week as they are getting an engineer to verify that it's the turbo that is playing up.  I'm a bit annoyed as it's still under warranty and I'm having to take time off work to bring the car back to the dealers again and then I'm going to have to bring it back yet again to get the turbo fixed.

Anyway, my main concern is this. Is it a known fault for the turbo to fail after such a short period?
