Just wondered if anybody else can smell petrol fumes from there bravo? I can smell it inside the car and also under the bonnet, unfortunatly its not there all the time and sometimes alot stronger than normal, it has been on the computer and there is no faults showing up and when it was in the fiat garage they couldn't smell anthing my car is a 09 reg bravo active sport tjet 120.

phil will probably know more about this but I think I read somewhere that someone had the same issue and it was due to a split pipe.  Have a look on www.500fans.com  I am sure it is there that I read it

sorry i don't know much aqbout the bravo ,so don't know wherethe smell maybe coming from..ref the pipe cadbury mentioned ,there was a breather pipe i think that was splitting on 500's and the odd punto ,though ,i would imagine that on a 09 plate that would have been remedied in production ...unfortunately unless it is a known fault ,it can be impossible for a dealer to locate the problem if the smell isn't there ,when they see the car ...rather than plugging in a laptop ,which some dealers do just to let the customer think they are doing something ,a smell of petrol is best left to the human nose to trace amd eyes to notice possible damp patches ....personally i think todays younger mechanics ,can't diagnoise true mechanical faults ie worn wheel bearings ,as thge laptop won't tell them
