has anyone went for the new multi air engined versions????...will admit with the new evo fiat have upped the quality ,as in the interior ,gone is the hard looking plastic dash and door trims..though i think they made a mess of the front , should have left it alone....so with my current grande 4 in july ,i think i will wait till either the front grows on me ,and also till they iron our any issues that will aise with the multi-air engine ..that is not meant as a derogatory remark... i work with a truck main dealer and they fit new engines in customers vehicles who are willing to trial it for them prior to release ...and we still get issues ,once in production ...so it happens to all manufacturers...a manufacturer never knows the true problems with a car till good old joe public gets a gripof it lol...aftetr all how many drive any vehicle as it was designed...

I ordered my Punto Evo GP on Saturday and the dealer says i should get it around the 2nd week in March, i ordered a steel wheel for my spare at GBP35.00 as if you order it later it costs nearly 3 times as much, The Multiair engine works better for people who do motorway driving every day and if you don't then they suggest you take it out on a motorway at least once a week for a good run, mine is for work and general running around so i didn't go for the Multiair, My Punto that i'm trading in is 9 in September and only done 26 thousand miles....
I did a lot of research before choosing this car (nearly went for a Fiesta ! ) and am a little concerned about it being a new model and being called / sent back to dealer for potential problems, everyone says to expect it, i'll keep you updated
lucky you!!!
told my gp will be 10 weeks!!!
What colour have you choosen, i've got a silver punto at the moment and it never shows the dirt, got a feeling i'll get to know the local car wash very well with a black car.
10 weeks is a long time to wait, the snow may of stopped by then :)
I haven't seen any Punto Evo's on the road yet but then again i haven't seen any "10" reg's in anything. What was the Evo like to test drive, i went to my dealers yesterday to give them my insurance details as picking the car up Saturday, the car was threre at the garage so i had a look and sit in it. ... it's lovely,, i spoke to the person who drove it from the compound to the garage and she said it's a lovely car to drive...!!
oooops.... marketing i think i hit report abuse by accident .....
what i wa going to say is zanadoo has put a pic thread on the forum...so she will want pics lol....
Yes, very nice to drive - I drove a three door Dynamic - as with all test drives there is so much to take in, it's difficult to remember everything. I do know the ride was quite smooth on our currently very potholed roads, especially when compared to my current Panda 100HP, which is why the "Comfort Line" models appealed more to me. Also very quiet. When the stop start system operated in traffic, a quick look at the rev counter was needed to confirm that the engine had stopped! Overall, I was very impressed.
As you say, not even seen a "10" registered car on the road yet, let alone a Punto Evo!
Picked my brand new Punto Evo, GP, 1.4 in Crossover Black up yesterday, i love it, lovely car to drive, very smooth, the start stop is brilliant, you can hardly tell the engine has turned off and as soon as you put your foot on the clutch the engine quickly starts up again, i've yet to figure out the trip computer and everything it does. I've got a tiny concern at the moment in that it sounds like a window is slightly open but it's not and i can feel a slight draft so need to check that out a bit more, coming from the drivers side.

Yup, I ordered a Punto Evo sporting (1.4 multiair turbo) on the second week of March. Its now at the showroom and im due to pick it up on Monday. I must admit, im still a little unkeen on the black trim parts on the front and back of the car (grande punto looked better) but the inside looks very nice indeed.
Bigell, i really hope you get your Evo soon, mine is so lovely too drive, i'm slowly getting my head around the computer bits, i'm still concerned about the driver door tho, definate draft, i'm going to jetwash it the weekend to see if any gaps anywhere, i'll soon find out if any water leaks into the inside... everyone who has seen my car loves it, i'm half Italian and proud to own a Fiat, when i visit family in Italy every family has at least 1 Fiat, it seems the goverment offer everyone a discount if they buy a Fiat, i think thats great.
Dan, the interior (think i've spelt that wrong) is lovely, i've got the GP and mine is black and grey inside, in the showroom it was red which was lovely but not me. Nice choice on the Sporting :)
