I have a Grande Punto 1.4 Sporting which I took delivery of brand new last September. When the weather turned at the end of October there was considerable misting of the inside of the windows, which I just put down to the humidity. This continued on and off depending upon the weather conditions. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that there was a significant amount of water in the footwell behind the drivers seat, so much so that I had to mop it out a few times due to heavy rain with water lying visible above the carpet level.

 It has been in the garage all week and still sits there. They have tried to seal the leak twice, but whilst reducing the ingress it has not fully stopped it. It appears it is coming through the front bulkhead and running in floor channels into the rear. As of next Monday it will be into week 2. As they need full access to the bulkhead and all its openings they will be removing the steering wheel, all the pedals, the entire front dashboard and the gearbox.

Given that the car is a little over 4 months old I am a little irate to say the least and which to vent my anger to Fiat by writing to formally complain about this. Does anyone have the full postal address of Fiat Customer Service as I have been unable to find it on the website?

Also from reading other postings I also have the rear hatch waterfall problem. Is it worth mentioning this to them while it is in as there appears to be some debate as to whether it is fixable?

I would register your complain with Fiat Customer Services (00800 3428 0000).  You will find address details in your handbook or the literature you were given when you bought it.

I have an 06 plate Grande Punto and I have a very similar problem with water entering the same area and gathering in the footwells.
I wondered if you have found a source to your leak as in where the water is coming in and why!
Only just today have I looked underneath the bonnet to find at the back left hand side a massive piece of rust where the water is gushing in.
There seems to be a (pump?) maybe supplying the brake and clutch fluid, all I can believe for now is that is leaking and corroding the metal.
I will not know more until Fiat have taken a look tomorrow, surely this should not be happening with a 4 year old car? Let alone a 4 month old car!
