Has anyone noticed that the roof panels creak above the doors ? I bought my 500C last november and all was quiet then the passenger side started to creak badly when the car twists over bumps. Wilson's said the trim was loose refitted but no better another visit to another Fiat garage did the same but improved it but the near side still creaks whilst the driver side does not. It is in the garage today for a 3rd visit. perhaps the mouldings are faulty ?

Hi Tony,

There may be a creaking noise created where the roof rubber seal comes into contact with the top of the windscreen trim. This can be alleviated by applying a specialist lubricant.

You're not alone.  I took delivery of my beautiful 500C end of May, everything was fine until 3 weeks ago - my car, overnight, developed this small creaking noise above my head.  As the day went on it was creaking all along the roof line.  It wasn't just bumps, it just creaked when the engine started.  Mine went in 2 weeks ago, they put the lubricant on - that worked, for 2 weeks.  The creak came back and it's worse - the dealer had my car all day today and they couldn't resolve the creak - i drove 4 seconds off the forecourt and couldn't bare it and drove back to the dealer.

The Fiat dealer has been faultless on service, they have taken my car immediately and provided me with a free courtesey car.  They're keeping my car for 3 days and fingers crossed it will be resolved, I believe they might have to get Fiat diagnostics involved.

I am anxious, as this is a brand new car and I can't live with creaking in a car built in 2010 !  I've owned lots of convertibles, and this is pretty weird for a new car.  

I am hopeful it will get resolved and will post again with news.
