I have been unfortunate enough to have the front electric windows on my car stop working, if that wasnt bad enough I have managed to locate fuse box in attempt to begin process of elimination to fix the fault, however it all seems to stop there as I cannot get my hands on a diagram for the fusebox to get fuse number. I have to say I was not given a owners/ maintenance book from dealership and free information is very dry on the ground. Can anyone help.
Many Thanks.
Thank for the info. With it I have been able to check relevant fuses. They are ok, so off down the dealership I went (AGAIN) to order up an owners manual. Looks more like a garage job now....
Once again Thank You.
hi me again ..though i don't know the location there should be a relay that controls the windows ..the hand book doesn't give it's location ..but i would imagine common sense would pace it in the same area as the windows fuses..did you check the 3 fuses that are listed??? and if you found them ok is there a feed getting to them ??if not relay is next check
Boudica:Anyone got any idea as to why both front electric windows would just stop working at the same time?
Hello Boudica,
My 06 Grande (pre my present Bravo) suffered a double front window failure about 1000 miles into its' life. The fault lay in the drivers arm rest switch .May be worth a look.
my daughter had the same problem - both front electric windows failed - solved problem by popping the window switch in driver's armrest and reconnected cable form - it had become loose - all working again.
Hope this helps
Thank you, yes it did help.
I was flumoxed when both windows stopped working at the same time and both fuses were ok. I took out the switches and the conector had fallen out! it hangs underneath the switches so I guess the combination of gravity and being shook while driving (and closing the door etc) along with a not so great locking mechanism eventually makes the connector fall out.
Very happy to have got it fixed without having to pay an hours labour !
