    New Member sating Hi...
New to Forums, I have a Doblo its my secound one and its in Orange,i love it. I do have a problem with it and my dealer has been very help ful, but still can not resolve the problem. Its the engine management light comes on intermittantly which results in the fillter being pressure cleaned and computer reconfigured. other associated problems linked to the light coming on, are power loss and fuel drop in tank sometimes rectified by full tank.Am I the only person with this problem.I fed up being lonely!

    hi

will try and keep this short ....i guess it's a diesel ???  don't actually understand what you mean by filter being pressure cleanes and computer being reconfigured ...also fuel drop  sometimes rectified by full tank ....again i'm guessing with filter being pressure cleaned ,is the DPF  doing a regeneration itself ,or is it that the dealer is doing a forced regeneration ???what should happen is as the DPF fills with soot diesel is injected to burn it off .regeneration ....unfortunately the new range of diesels aren't any good with stop start town driving ,they never get a chance to regenerate ...this can result in diesel making it's way in to the engine sump ,check your oil level see if it has risen ,this can result in a runaway engine ,where it will accelerate till it self destructs in the worse case scenario ....the car would need a weekly blast down the motorway ,to get it to carry out it's own regeneration cycle ...the dealer should know all about the system and should be advising you accordingly ...that is if i am correct in guessing that it's a diesel  and it's a regeneration problem ...all manufacturers who use DPF  have the same issues

    search DPF
