  • ZERO CARBON HOUSEBOAT BY CHARLOTTE SKENE CATLING

A self-contained and self sufficient mobile houseboat capable of survival in a post-disaster environment. Should the infrastructure of globalised society collapse and we return to an anarchic and nomadic way of life, the boat can independently provide a comfortable living environment and long range mobility as it is runs off sustainable resources.

  • The V.I.B BY YANNIK EILERS

Very Important Bike/ Very Important Persons Bike.  An invention based heavily on absurdity and humour but nonetheless an eccentric vehicle and a fantastic invention that unrolls your very own personal red carpet wherever you may ride. The bike allows the rider to travel in complete style, making you look as important as deserved.  So whether it's to make your trip to the shops more exiting, to ride down the isle on your wedding day, to turn heads and have people appreciate how valuable you are or just to turn those increasing frowns upside down...you need a V.I.B!

  • SUITCASE CAR BY HARLEY ZBLEWSKI

This vehicle aims to do to transport what the iPod did for music - making it not just portable but ultra portable! We're talking, extreme-minimum size and weight, maximum-speed, convenience and excitement. Match speeds with urban traffic, carve around corners and weave through gaps... Parking sucks; don't do it.  After an exciting commute just fold and sit on it!  As multi-tasking goes, this takes the biscotti; folds into a package the size of a suitcase, can be wheeled along in confined spaces, and when parked up, the vehicle takes the form of a chair.  Parking problems?  Sit on them!

  • FISH TAILED CATAMARAN BY ROBERT SIDDALL

Fish Tailed Catamarans are both powered and controlled by their driving fin.  They are pedal powered fun craft. They are a viable alternative to pedallos or small dinghies, which can be used safely by children, or fisherman. They can even be used by sports enthusiasts either to race each other, or as an alternative to surf canoes. (Note: Hand operated versions could easily be produced allowing paraplegics to race directly against their able bodied rivals.)  These are fun boats which can be used for relaxed leisure, or serious sports exertion depending on the mood of their operator.

  • GAIT-3 BY JODY LEACH

Going on holiday makes me smile :) but when I use a travel case it makes me frown :(  Travel cases are uncomfortable to use, awkward and a bit rubbish when travelling in a world that is not flat. Gait-3 features a round handle mounted perpendicularly, allowing the arm to be in a nice and comfy neutral position whilst allowing for different hand positions. Gait-3 also has large wheels allowing the case to go up and down kerbs with ease, so my design not only works well but turns frowns :( into smiles :)

  • LONGBOW BY STEVEN SPONG

The Longbow is an entirely new and exciting transport/leisure board. Along flat ground: It allows the rider to propel him/herself forward by pumping. Uphill: The rider can use both feet for propulsion (by skating with one and pushing down on the board with the other). Downhill: Increased speeds can be achieved when skating is not an option. Longbow is serious fun. It is a working and proven design, future concepts and design developments will improve upon this even further. Check out the video at Youtube.

  • HYLO FEMALE COMMUTER SHOE BY NATALIE DAGHESTANI

'Hylo' is a conceptual height adjustable shoe for any woman who knows how it feels to commute and live a day in high heels. The heel portion of the shoe which is stored within the sole, is made from a shape memory alloy which 'remembers' two different shapes. By touching the pink blossom detail at the back of the shoe (a camouflaged button) a current is passed through the heel, allowing the heel to transform from a flat to a curve, flicking it instantly backwards creating an arch and the 'high heeled' effect. 'Hylo' is the shoe for the 21st century woman who is always on the go and needs to change from a heel to a flat at the touch of a button and still look elegant with ease.

  • THE EXPLORER BY MARTIN VONGREJ

When you want to get from place A to place B, it isn't often possible to use one type of transport. So why not create a vehicle which can be transformed depending on surface (water or ground) or motive power (pedals or wind). And because of this I would like to present you The Explorer.

  • SK8 M8 BY PAUL ROONEY

SK8 M8 is a portable flat-pack skateboarding aid which can be folded into various forms. This aims to reduce the number of skaters in heavily crowded areas, through providing different structures, i.e. a ramp, grind box or rolling block.  The system consists of seven aluminium-polyethylene composite sheets along with a grinding panel. The panels fold flat to be contained in a carry case, allowing the user to transport the system on their back. With no other flat-pack skateboarding aid on the market, SK8 M8 is a new innovative system which can transform an abandoned car park into a skate park.

  • BOOSTER BLADES BY BRYAN RAWLINGS

Booster Blades are like a cross between a pair of skates and a bike - you wear them on your feet like skates, but pedal up and down and a mechanism drives the rear wheel, propelling you forward. To stop there is a brake, which you can operate by tilting either foot back. Booster Blades give you more speed for less effort than skating, and a genuinely unique and fun way of getting around.

  • VESPA BARCHETTA BY GABRIEL WARTOFSKY

Chi Vespa Mangia Le Mele, Chi Non Vespa No  He Who Vespa's Eats the Apple, He Who Doesn't Vespa Does Not!   The concept of this journey is to reintroduce romance and the human touch to the daily commute.  Inspired by the Vespa ad campaign from the seventies likening the Vespa experience to the innocence and romance of forbidden fruit, the Vespa Barchetta combines the romance and practicality of the iconic scooter with a package more to scale for today's urban sprawl.  Like on a Vespa, Passengers sit in a way that encourages rather than forbids human contact, making the daily journey with your loved one a happy and enjoyable experience.

  • SNOWBONE BY NICK RAWCLIFFE

It's a hybrid BMX that fits onto any existing snowboard. There's no seat and no bindings so the rider is not physically attached to the board. This means it 's easy to hop on and off it and you can do tricks that haven't been seen on snow before.  It folds so it's easy to take to and from the snow.  (....and you can use it with wheels on the bottom if there's no snow)
