All Fiat 500X Euro 6 engine options provide high-grade performance and driving flexibility while keeping fuel consumption and emissions low, thanks to MultiJet II technology. Its innovative injectors make it possible to handle up to 8 injections per cycle and to implement increasingly sophisticated combustion strategies, such as Injection Rate Shaping (IRS), which optimises the combustion system in favour of greater silence plus less emissions of particulate matter and nitrogen oxides (NOx).

PETROL ENGINE OPTIONS

The petrol-powered engines for the 500X, with e TorQ and MultiAir systems, provide exceptional levels of torque and power at any speed, while keeping fuel consumption and emissions down.

Compared to a traditional petrol engine of equal size, the MultiAir technology generates an increase in power (by up to 10%) and torque (up to 15%), as well as a notable drop in consumption (up to 10%) and CO2 and particulate emissions (up to 40%) and NOx (up to 60%). At the heart of MultiAir technology lies the electro-hydraulic valve control system which helps reduce fuel consumption (through direct air mass control via the engine intake valves, without using the throttle) and pollutant emissions.
